PAR-Q Setup

PARQ.jpg

The  PAR-Q , short for  Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire , is a self-screening tool designed to see if new members should check with their doctor before undertaking more physical activity. The questions should be posed such that all answers (for a healthy individual) result in a negative answer; the presence of any positive answers at all indicate that this individual should not undertake further physical activity without first consulting their doctor.

You can define the questions for your PAR-Q form here, without any restrictions on content or number of questions. You can also make completion of the form mandatory for any packages you wish by enabling the relevant checkbox when you define membership packages (see the  Sales Add new package tab for details).

Suitable questions for a PAR-Q may have already been set up by your onboarding team, but a simple search online will give you good ideas for questions if you decide to enable PAR-Qs at a later date. A couple of typical questions might be:

  • Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?

  • In the past month, have you had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?
